As a western neighborhood of Houston, Texas, Briar Forest is located north of Westchase and northwest of Mid-West, two other urban communities. The neighborhood of Memorial lies to the north, and the Buffalo Bayou Bike Trail makes up Briar Forest’s northern border. Dairy Ashford Road outlines the western perimeter which defines the edges of Briar Forest and George Bush Park/Eldridge. Bunker Hill Village and Piney Point Village lie to the east of Briar Forest. Bear Creek Pioneers Park is situated to the north, and the well-known Royal Oaks Country Club is a short drive south.

Commute

Commutes within and around Briar Forest are made simple affairs thanks to the Sam Houston Tollway bisecting Briar Forest vertically on the eastern side of the neighborhood. Additionally, Briar Forest Drive defines Briar Forest’s center, and S Kirkwood Road and Wilcrest Drive run laterally from Memorial to Westchase. To the south, Sam Houston Tollway connects to Westpark Tollway only five minutes away from Briar Forest. To the north, Sam Houston Tollway intersects Interstate 10. These roadways allow for fast travel in and around the Houston area. Briar Forest is a 24 minute commute to Downtown Houston considering traffic.
